Curettage

Curettage is a minor surgical procedure which eliminates a plantar wart immediately. A local anaesthetic is given to the inside of the ankle to ensure the foot is numb. The wart is gently scooped out with a special tool called a curettage. The area is then cauterised with an acid called Phenol. This ensures all wart tissue is killed and reduces the chance of having another wart grow in the same spot. The great news is no stitches are required and you can walk straight out after the procedure.

Curettage is extremely successful; therefore, it is the best way of eliminating a wart that does not respond to conservative treatments.

If you want your wart gone quickly and effectively and you have tried other treatments with no success please call 02 4751 7583 for a curettage assessment.
