Mustard Seed Global is a registered Charity working to serve poor rural communities near Rabaul in East New Britain Province in Papua New Guinea.
On April 13th, 2016 the first mobile HIV-AIDS clinic, a purpose-fitted Toyota Land Cruiser 78 Troop Carrier, was launched to provide essential health care to those who would not have access to it otherwise.
There are 34,000 cases of HIV-AIDS in Papua New Guinea, which has well over 90% of the Pacific region’s HIV cases. While the epidemic has not escalated as expected, the disease continues to spread from localised high population hotspots, to rural areas where 85% of the population live.
Blue Mountains Podiatry is now registered as a long term sponsor of Mustard Seed Global.
We are donating 1% of every dollar made to the charity to help them achieve their mission in bettering the lives of those less fortunate then us.
So, for every dollar you spend in any of our clinics, a portion of that is going towards creating a better life for someone else.
We all get caught up in our day to day lives, and the stresses that come along with it, and we forget to appreciate the simple things that we take for granted. But many people all over the world, struggle to survive without these things that we are fortunate enough to have access to every day. This is a way for us, and our patients to know that every day, we are helping to create a better life for someone else.
